A cross-eyed opossum in Leipzig, Germany is becoming the latest animal sensation in that nation. Heidi is already spawning stuffed toys and glances from admirers. (Jan. 12)

virginia opossums are the most common marsupial (not rodent) in north america, they are good for the ecology, they eat slugs, spiders, poisonous snakes, cockroaches, mice and rats, and thankfully their body temperature is so low that they rarely get rabies. respect these creatures, theres too many misconceptions about them from rednecks in america.

and then maybe the poor creature could have the “benefit” of having a bad reaction to drugs, or get an infection, etc, and die…
the animal seems happy (whatever that means for an opossum) and is being well taken care of.
he will be exploited commercially which will help other furry and non-furry creatures.
